Our Lobby Volunteer Program:

Volunteer 1: House Manager (and Door #1 Scanner)

• Responsible for scanning and/or tearing tickets and directing guests to seats

• Responsible for coordinating with Stage Management and blinking house lights accordingly at 5 minute call from Stage Manager at pre show and intermission

• Responsible for closing main entrance and lobby doors before Stage Manager dims house lights at pre show and intermission. 

• Responsible for supervising and delegating to other Front of House Volunteers

• Responsible for addressing any seating/ticketing issues from patrons

• Responsible for enforcing COVID precautions at entry, as notified by volunteer greeters

• Shift begins 1 hour before show time through the end of intermission

Volunteers 2 & 3: Door #2 Scanner (and concessions assistant)

• Responsible for scanning and/or tearing tickets and directing guests to seats

• Responsible for selling concessions items using cash and credit card

• Shift begins 1 hour before show time through the end of intermission

Volunteer 4: Concessions 

• Responsible for setup and storage of concessions items

• Responsible for noting start and end balance of cash box

• Responsible for noting start and end count of concessions items

• Responsible for selling concessions items using cash and credit card

• Shift begins 1 hour before show time through the end of intermission

Volunteers 5-6: Greeters

• Responsible for welcoming guests, distributing programs, and helping guests locate seating.

• Shift begins 1 hour before show time through start of show

Note: All volunteers are guaranteed free admission to view the show from the balcony. Should tickets in the auditorium be available, they will be distributed by the Box Office Representative or House Manager just before the start of the show. Volunteers are not permitted backstage without permission from Stage Manager or Fort Salem Theater staff member.
